Marian Paschke

Marian Paschke (born December 15, 1954 ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

From 1974 to 1979 he studied law at the Free University of Berlin . In 1979 and 1981 he passed the law exams. After receiving his doctorate in December 1982 as Dr. jur. in May 1983 at the Free University of Berlin he was appointed university assistant at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel . After the habilitation and award of the venia legendi in July 1989 for civil law, commercial and economic law, industrial property rights, copyright and media law by the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , he represented the C4 professorship for civil law in the winter semester 1989/1990 at the Free University of Berlin and had a teaching position at the University of Heidelberg . In 1990 he was appointed university professor at Heidelberg University. In the winter semester of 1991 he was appointed professor at the University of Hamburg, chair of civil law, commercial and economic law. Since 1992 he has been director of the seminar for commercial, shipping and business law at the University of Hamburg. Since 1996 he has been director at the Institute for Maritime Law and Maritime Trade Law at the University of Hamburg . In March 2005 he was awarded an honorary doctorate (Dr. hc) by the University of Sofia .
