Marianne Oh

Marianne Ach (born February 8, 1942 in Eslarn ) is a German writer and educator.

Ach grew up in Eslarn in the Upper Palatinate . At the age of 13 she left her parents' home and went to a monastic boarding school in order to attain a higher education. She entered the order of the Dillinger Franciscan Sisters and took her religious vows at the age of 19 . She worked as a kindergarten teacher and catechist. After ten years she left the monastery and studied in Munich from 1974 to 1979 . She married and became a secondary school teacher for German and religion. In addition to her school service, she wrote short stories and published them in 2000 under the title Bad Words . After her retirement, she devoted herself entirely to writing. In 2004 her first novel Goldmarie Pechmarie was published . Ach has lived in Munich since 1972.
