Marianne Hofmann

Marianne Hofmann (born September 8, 1938 in Rohr , Lower Bavaria , † April 20, 2012 in Munich ) was a German writer .

Life

Marianne Hofmann grew up in her home town of Rohr. She studied religious and social education in Munich and worked there in the school and social sector. She later stayed for a long time in Berlin and Liverpool , where she began literary writing. Since 1985 she has been based in Munich again.

Marianne Hofmann was the author of narrative prose and poems that appeared in various magazines and newspapers from 1992. She was a member of GEDOK Munich. In 1997 she received the Puchheim Reader Award .
