Marianne Schoiswohl

Marianne Schoiswohl (born December 18, 1956 in Wels ; † August 24, 2009 in Vienna ) was an Austrian writer , painter and photographer .

Life

After her training at the Federal Educational Academy, she taught from 1978 to 2005. She attended the summer academy in Millstatt and from 1989 to 1992 she was an extraordinary auditor for stage design at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.

From 1992 to 1998 director of the Galerie Gmünd / Carinthia.

Since then she has been giving workshops and courses on contemporary art and the practice of nude drawing. Numerous solo and group exhibitions in galleries and exhibition houses in Austria, Germany, Italy, Russia and Iceland. Stays abroad (Baltic States, Ghana) and invitations to work stays in Russia and Iceland follow. After finishing teaching in 2005, Schoiswohl devoted himself entirely to artistic activity. There are numerous drawings and graphic works as well as many books on her own texts, most of which are self-published. Marianne Schoiswohl has received several scholarships from the Federal Chancellery of the Republic of Austria. She has worked on many of her own exhibitions, readings and performances, and most recently published the CD Abschiede mit reading songs in 2008, together with the musician sa! Ke .

Marianne Schoiswohl died in August 2009 after a short, serious illness. She has four sons.
