Mariano Akerman

Mariano Akerman (* 1963 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine painter and art historian.

Akerman studied at the Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires. Akerman received an award for his thesis on the subject of “Space and the Limits of Modern Architecture” (1987).

Mariano Akerman is a practicing painter and has exhibited his paintings, drawings and collages since 1979. He has received at least 12 international art awards.

He has lived abroad since 1991 and researched the paintings of Francis Bacon and the architectural projects of Louis I. Kahn .

During his stays in Asia, Akerman developed the conference series:

Akerman specializes in visual communication and is an experienced educator. He has lectured on modern art at prestigious institutions such as the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, the National Museum of the Philippines in Manila, the University of Modern Languages in Islamabad, the National College of Arts in Lahore, and Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad.
