Marie-Luise Leutrum in Ertingen

Marie-Luise Countess Leutrum zu Ertingen (* as Marie-Luise Steiner on October 16, 1905 in Laupheim ; † May 24, 1980 in Heidelberg ) was a qualified farmer. She came from a Jewish family.

Countess Leutrum von Ertingen , who was one of the first women in Hohenheim to complete her agricultural studies with a diploma, was the founder of the German Rural Women’s Association in 1948 and its 1st chairwoman. Later she was honorary president of the German Rural Women's Association.

Since 1930 she was married to Hubertus Graf Leutrum von Ertingen and lived in Unterriexingen in the Ludwigsburg district . Her residence in Unterriexingen Castle was also the first office of the German Rural Women’s Association. In 1951 the family moved to the Nippenburg near Schwieberdingen . Countess Leutrum lived there in the manor house until 1980, from where she performed her many honorary posts.

Appreciation

The Gräfin-Leutrum-Strasse in Sersheim and the Marie-Luise-Gräfin-Leutrum-Platz in Schwieberdingen are named after Leutrum zu Ertingen .
