Maria Kraichel

Maria Kraichel (born May 3, 1878 in Baden as Maria Triletty , † November 26, 1954 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( SDAP ) and civil servant. Kraichel was a member of the Lower Austria state parliament from 1919 to 1927 .

Maria Kraichel was born Maria Triletty and was called Brunner after her first marriage, during which her husband died. She attended elementary and community school in Baden and continued her education at the two-year advanced training and business school in Vienna. As a result, she worked as a civil servant in Baden and was elected to the Baden municipal council in 1918. She represented the Social Democratic Workers' Party from May 20, 1919 in the Lower Austrian Landtag, and was a member of the Lower Austria Land Curia between November 11, 1920 and May 11, 1921 during the phase of separation of Vienna from Lower Austria. Kraichel remained a member of the state parliament until May 20, 1927. After her expulsion from the SPÖ in September 1947, she joined the KPÖ . She was married to Dr. Rudolf Kraichel (1890–1960), who was active as chairman of the KPÖ-affiliated Federation of Democratic Teachers and Educators .
