Marie Hirsch
Marie Hirsch ( pseudonym : Adalbert Meinhardt ; born March 12, 1848 in Hamburg ; † November 17, 1911 in Hamburg) was a German writer .
After an early death of her parents, she grew up with siblings in Hamburg. She learned languages (Spanish, Latin, Greek) and worked as a translator. She got into writing through acquaintance with Paul Heyse . She published exclusively under her male pseudonym.
Her tombstone is in the women's garden at the Ohlsdorfer Friedhof (Hamburg).
