Marie Immisch (born June 2, 1866 in Weimar ; † April 20, 1937 there ) was a German theater actress .

Life

After Immisch, the daughter of a music teacher, had taken dramatic lessons from Paul Brock , she entered the Association of the Court Theater in Oldenburg as an apprentice, where she made her first dramatic attempts under the direction of Otto Devrient . Then she came to Danzig (1888), from there (1890) to Leipzig, where she excelled as an actress of youthful tragic roles, not only in the classical but in all the roles that the repertoire for her contained. Rudolf von Gottschall , who particularly recognized her talent, always preferred her when portraying the female lead in his dramas.
