Marie Ottmann
Marie Ottmann , married Marie Stefanides ( September 18, 1876 in Vienna - after 1913 ) was an Austrian operetta singer ( soprano ).
Life
The daughter of a master butcher was trained to sing by Betty von Bocklet and began her stage career in Hall in 1892. She then worked in Salzburg-Ischl in 1893, in Marienbad and in 1895 joined the Association of the Theater an der Wien, where she remained in the first position until 1900. Since then, the artist has mostly appeared as a guest at outstanding operetta stages, such as the Residenztheater in Dresden , Carl-Schultze-Theater in Hamburg, Friedrich Wilhelmstädtisches Theater Berlin and others. In 1899 she was invited, at the Vienna Court Opera Theater the "Rosalinde" in the " Fledermaus " " to sing. Johann Strauss conducted this (his last) performance.
From 1912 to 1913 she worked in the operetta theater in Amsterdam.
She was married to the conductor Alexander Stefanides .
