Marieke van Drogenbroek

Maria "Marieke" van Jungsbroek (born December 16, 1964 in Utrecht ) is a former Dutch rower .

The 1.87 m wide Marieke van Drogenbroek the Utrecht Rowing Club Orca won in 1982 at the Junior World Championships bronze medal in quadruple sculls . At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles , she competed in a four with helmsman and in eight . The foursome with Marieke van Drogenbroek, Anne-Marie Quist , Catharina Neelissen , Willemien Vaandrager and taxwoman Martha Laurijsen finished second behind the Romanians and then won the repechage . In the final, the Dutch women finished fifth, 0.68 seconds behind the third-placed Australians. The rowers of the Dutch four-man also competed with the eighth on the final day and won the bronze medal behind the boats from the United States and Romania. In 1987 Marieke van Drogenbroek competed at the 1987 World Championships in Copenhagen in single and finished eighth.
