Willemien Vaandrager
Willemien "Wiljon" Vaandrager (born August 27, 1957 in Hall , Gelderland ) is a former Dutch rower .
The 1.83 m tall Willemien Vaandrager from the Utrecht rowing club Orca achieved sixth place with the Dutch eighth at the 1977 World Championships in Amsterdam. In 1981 in Munich she took seventh place in the four with tax woman . At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles , she competed in a four with helmsman and in eight. The foursome with Marieke van Drogenbroek , Anne-Marie Quist , Catharina Neelissen , Willemien Vaandrager and taxwoman Martha Laurijsen finished second behind the Romanians and then won the repechage . In the final, the Dutch women finished fifth, 0.68 seconds behind the third-placed Australians. The rowers of the Dutch four-man also competed with the eighth on the final day and won the bronze medal behind the boats from the United States and Romania.
