Martha Laurijsen

Martha "Marty" Johanna Petronella Laurijsen (born April 15, 1954 in Utrecht ) is a former Dutch helmswoman in rowing .

The 1.63 m tall Martha Laurijsen from the Utrecht rowing club Orca drove the four with helmswoman and the eighth at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles . The four with Marieke van Drogenbroek , Anne-Marie Quist , Catharina Neelissen , Willemien Vaandrager and Martha Laurijsen finished second behind the Romanians and then won the repechage. In the final, the Dutch women finished fifth, 0.68 seconds behind the third-placed Australians. The rowers of the Dutch four-man also competed with the eighth on the final day and won the bronze medal behind the boats from the United States and Romania.
