Maria Gerasimovna Pissareva
Marija Gerassimowna Pissarewa ( Russian Мария Герасимовна Писарева , English transcription Mariya Pisareva, married Григалка - Grigalka ; born April 9, 1934 ) is a former Soviet high jumper .
She set her personal best of 1.70 m on October 29, 1956 in Tashkent . A month later she won at the Olympic Games in Melbourne with 1.67 m together with the British Thelma Hopkins the silver medal behind Mildred McDaniel from the USA, who set a world record with 1.76 m.
Marija Pissarewa started for Zenit Moscow. She later married the discus thrower and shot putter Oto Grigalka .
