Marija Grabowezkaja ( Kazakh Мария Александровна Грабовецкая , * 10. April 1987 in Kokshetau ) is a Kazakh weightlifter .

Career

She celebrated her greatest success during the Asian Cup in 2005, where she won a gold medal. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , Grabowezkaya was doped in the weight class from 75 kg, which is open to the top. The bronze medal stolen there was revoked in 2016.

Marija Grabowezkaja has been studying law and sports science at the Walichanow State University in Kokshetau since 2008 and also works as a sports teacher at the Olympic base there. She also has the military rank of lieutenant in the Kazakh Interior Ministry.

doping

Extensive follow-up tests in 2016 revealed that Grabowezkaya had started doping at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . She had taken dehydrochloromethyltestosterone , oxandrolone, and stanozolol . For this, she received a ban in August 2016. In November 2016, she was the Olympic medal revoked .
