Marilyn Brain

Marilyn Brain , after marriage to Marilyn Campbell , (born April 14, 1959 in Halifax , Nova Scotia ) is a former Canadian rower who won an Olympic silver medal in 1984.

Career

The 1.78 m tall Marilyn Brain finished fourth at the 1983 World Championships with the Canadian eighth . The following year, at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, Marilyn Brain, Angela Schneider , Barbara Armbrust , Jane Tregunno and taxwoman Lesley Thompson formed the Canadian foursome with taxwoman . The Canadians won the silver medal two seconds behind the Romanian Olympic champions.

The University of Victoria graduate was a coordinator for Rowing Canada, the Canadian rowing association, from 1990 to 1999 . She later became the head of a primary school.
