Marilyn Livingstone

Marilyn Livingstone (born September 30, 1952 ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labor Party .

In the Scottish parliamentary elections in 1999 Livingstone won the direct mandate of the constituency of Kirkcaldy and moved into the newly created Scottish Parliament . In the 2003 parliamentary elections and 2007 she defended the constituency, but lost in the 2011 parliamentary elections the candidate of the Scottish National Party , David Torrance . Since Livingstone was not listed as a candidate for the electoral region, she missed the re-entry into parliament.

Career

Livingstone attended Viewforth Secondardy School and Fife College in Glenrothes . Between 1982 and 1999 she headed the business school at Fife College. During this time Livingstone was also active as a councilor for the Kirkcaldy District , then for the Fife region .
