Alexander von Humboldt in the Europahafen marina

With the implementation of the “ Überseestadt ” urban development project , the first plans for a sports boat harbor in the disused Europahafen Bremen began in 2005 . However, it was not until the end of April 2011 that the first dolphins could be set for the floating dock. The connecting bridge to the quay was last installed at the end of May 2011 . The official inauguration took place on June 18, 2011 with a boat parade led by the traditional ship Friedrich .

At the start of the 2012 season, the floating jetty was extended to 170 m and additional finger bars were installed in 2015. Before the sailing ship Alexander von Humboldt was moved to the Bremen Schlachte in October 2016 , it was berthed in the Europahafen Marina from April 2015.

Control

The marina branches off from the Lower Weser at river kilometer 4.0 . It is open all year round and can also be approached by sailing boats with a standing mast.
