Marina Marx (born October 1, 1990 in Laupheim ; actually Marina Mast ) is a German pop singer .

Life

Marina Marx grew up in Laupheim and began her musical training while she was still at the Friedrich-Adler-Realschule . She took recorder , guitar and piano lessons, sang in the school choir and was a singer in the school band. After gaining experience in her first bands and in songwriting, she was a street musician during her student days in Hamburg. From 2015 to 2018 she was the front singer of the cover band Cops Unlimited , the rest of the band members made up of police officers.

In 2016 she took part in the sixth season of The Voice of Germany , where she was part of the Andreas Bourani team and was defeated by Lucie Fischer in round 2 in a song battle.

In 2018 she was allowed to support the Schlagerband Feuerherz . This was accompanied by an image change from a cover singer to a rock hit singer and she changed her stage name to Marina Marx. Her coarse voice became her trademark. Her role model from childhood until today is Tina Turner. In addition to rockier bands like AC / DC and Guns n 'Roses, she also mentions Helene Fischer , Ben Zucker and Sarah Connor as other influences . At the beginning of 2019, her first single One Night Stand was released , with which she was allowed to appear in many hit shows, including the Schlagerchampions on Das Erste, where she made a surprise appearance . The song also became a hit on YouTube .

Her second single, Der Geilste Fehler , was released in May 2020 . This is also the title of their debut album, which was released on July 24, 2020 and reached number 25 in the German album charts .
