Marina Rupp

Marina Rupp (* 1958 ) is a German sociologist and author .

Life

Marina Rupp studied sociology at the University of Bamberg . She has been working at the State Institute for Family Research (ifb) in Bamberg since 2000 , and has been its deputy director since 2003. Her work focuses on topics of family research including family education, family development, birth development, violence in the family, adoption, same-sex parenthood, as well as family law and child law. In addition, Marina Rupp is the project manager of the EU platform for family research and family policy . In 2005, their evaluation of the Violence Protection Act , carried out on behalf of the Federal Government , was published. In 2009 Marina Rupp published a widely acclaimed study on “ rainbow families ” on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Justice . In 2010, their guideline for employees of public child and youth welfare handbook on family education in the context of child and youth welfare in Bavaria , on behalf of the Bavarian State Ministry for Labor and Social Affairs , was published.
