Mario Astorri (born August 7, 1920 in Piacenza , † December 3, 1989 ) was an Italian football player and coach who played for numerous clubs in Italy during his active career.
Career
Mario Astorri began his career with US Mestrina in Series C in 1939 . Two years later he moved to Calcio Schio in 1905 , and in 1942 he joined the SPAL Ferrara . In the 1944 war championship he went hunting for goals for SSC Venice and returned to Ferrara a year later. A year later, the midfielder signed at Juventus Turin , for which he played only a year and then moved to Atalanta Bergamo . Astorri experienced his most successful time at SSC Napoli , for which he was active from 1949 to 1953. He scored 32 goals in 88 Serie A games for Napoli and then moved to AC Monza Brianza . Later, the midfielder was briefly active for the amateur club Cenisia and ended his active career in 1956.
After his career, Astorri worked as a coach in Denmark. His greatest success was winning the Danish championship in 1974 with Kjøbenhavns Boldklub .
