Mario Bertini (born January 7, 1944 in Prato ) is a former Italian football player . He played in the position of defensive midfielder .

Bertini moved for the 1965/66 season from Serie C club FC Empoli to Serie A at Fiorentina . In his first season he won the Coppa Italia with the team . After three seasons in Florence , Bertini moved to Inter Milan . The highlight of his time in Milan was winning the Scudetto in the 1970/71 season.

In the national team, he was used in the 1970 World Cup in the match of the century against Germany and in the final against Brazil that followed.
