Mario D'Angelo

Mario D'Angelo (born November 6, 1936 in Montevideo , Uruguay , † 2007 ibid) was a Uruguayan artist.

Life

D'Angelo studied from 1978 to 1980 at the school of the Club de Grabado and took part in the woodcut and relief workshop Nelbia Romeros , at whose seminar of fine arts ( Taller de Artes Plásticas y Visuales ) he was also present from 1992 to 1993 . He attended another workshop in 1997 with Antoni Muntadas in the Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales (MNAV).

D'Angelo's works of art have been featured in numerous exhibitions. Between 1979 and 2001 he took part in a total of five group exhibitions in Colonia and Montevideo and carried out nine solo exhibitions in Montevideo between 1993 and 2002. The last time before his death in 2007 he exhibited his work in 2006 as part of the Premio Nacional de Artes Visuales .

The artist was selected by the Club de Grabado in 1978 and 1979 to present his works in their publications. In 2002 he received the Premio Adquisición at the 50th Salón Nacional de Artes Visuales .
