Mario Duella

Mario Duella is an Italian organist .

Duella began his musical training with Giuseppe Rosetta , Artiro Sacchetti and Alberto Soreina . He earned diplomas in choral music and choral conducting at the Milan Conservatory and studied organ music and composition with Gianluigi Centemeri and Eva Frick Galliera . He also attended courses in Italian, French and Spanish organ music (with Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini , Michel Chapius and Montserrat Torrent i Serra ) and the organ music of Johann Sebastian Bach (with Anton Heiller and Viktor Lukas ).

As a concert organist, Duella has performed all over Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South and Central America, the USA, Mexico and Canada. He played on radio and television and recorded numerous concerts on LP and CD. In addition to works by well-known composers, he also performs compositions that he discovered during research in archives and libraries. In the Edition Paideia-Bärenreiter he edited a series of previously unpublished compositions from the 18th century.
