Mario Rottaris (born February 8, 1968 in Trub ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player who played exclusively for Friborg-Gottéron in the National League A during his active professional career and reached the Swiss runner-up with the team several times.
Career
Mario Rottaris, who played in the center, played in his youth for EHC Burgdorf in the first division , before he was active for Friborg-Gottéron in National League A from 1987 . There he quickly established himself as a regular and in the era of Vyacheslav Bykow and Andrei Chomutow with Gottéron between 1992 and 1994 he was runner-up three times in a row. After Christian Hofstetter ended his career, Rottaris became the team captainappointed by Friborg-Gottéron. After 16 years in the dress of Friborg-Gottéron, the left-handed shooter ended his active career in 2003. In total, Rottaris played over 600 NLA games in the course of his career.
