Mario Schupfer

Mario Schupfer (* 1977 in Aigen im Ennstal ) is an Austrian military pilot who found his way into professional aviation through gliding .

He has so far participated in the following international glider flying competitions:

  • 2004 World Cup Elverum - Norway
  • 2006 World Cup Vinon - France
  • 2007 EM Pociunai - Lithuania
  • 2008 WM Rieti - Italy

He achieved his greatest success in Rieti in 2008, where he won the silver medal for Austria with second place in world class . His aircraft at this competition was a PZL PW-5 with the registration OE-5632.
