Marion Schneid (* 1963 in Heidelberg ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Schneid completed her studies at the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences with a degree in business administration and then worked as a controller . After the family phase she was a tutor for mathematics and business administration and from 2005 to 2011 lecturer at the Rhein-Neckar administration school in Mannheim .

politics

Schneid joined the Junge Union in 1982 and the CDU in 1999. Within the CDU district association Ludwigshafen she is a member of the district executive committee. In 1999 she was elected to the local council in Ludwigshafen-Maudach and in 2004 to the city ​​council of Ludwigshafen am Rhein , where she became deputy parliamentary group leader in 2009. Since 2004 she has been the spokesperson for school policy for the CDU city council group.

In the state elections in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2011 , she was elected as a member of parliament. It was defeated in the constituency of Ludwigshafen am Rhein II against Günther Ramsauer ( SPD ), but was able to move into the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament via the list .

In the state elections in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2016 , she was re-elected to the state parliament via the state list. She is a full member of the Education Committee and the Science, Education and Culture Committee. She is the cultural-political spokeswoman for the CDU parliamentary group.

Since 2007, Schneid has volunteered as the second chairperson and from 2009 as the first chairperson of the Ludwigshafen Child Protection Association . She has been on the board of the Rhineland-Palatinate Child Protection Association since 2011.
