Marion Zoller

Marion Zoller (born January 8, 1968 in Munich ) is a former German swimmer and Olympic participant. The 1.77 m tall and 64 kg heavy athlete started for SV Schwäbisch Gmünd .

Zoller was able to place himself several times in German championships:

  • 50 m back: 1987 and 1989 each runner-up
  • 100 m back: 1987 and 1989 place 3 respectively
  • 200 m back: 1988 and 1992 runner-up, 1989 champion

She celebrated her greatest success at the European Championships in Athens in 1991 , where she won the bronze medal in the 200 m individual medal in 2: 17.43 minutes behind her compatriot Daniela Hunger (gold in 2: 15.53 minutes) and the Romanian Beatrice Coadă ( Silver in 2:16:68 minutes).

At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona she started over 200 m back and came in 9th overall. Her time as the winner of the B final: 2: 13.77 min.

Marion Zoller is married and now bears the name Wolters. Her daughter Maxine is also a swimmer.
