Mariska Huisman (born November 23, 1983 in Andijk ) is a Dutch inline speed skater and speed skater .

Huisman won the gold medal in the team competition at the 2002 and 2003 Junior World Speed Skating Championships . After that she was mostly successful in inline speed skating with the seniors . Between 2004 and 2011 she won several medals at the European Inline Speed Skating Championships . Her greatest success was the European Championship title in the 5000 m relay at the European Championship 2011 in Zwolle .

Since 2011, Huisman has also competed in the speed skating World Cup . There she concentrates on the mass start, which she has already won three times in World Cup races. In the Speed Skating World Cup 2011/12 , she also won the World Cup mass run.

Huisman also specializes in speed skating in marathon races such as the KPN Marathon Cup, which are only of national importance in the Netherlands .

Private

She is the sister of Sjoerd Huisman , who died suddenly of cardiac arrest on December 30, 2013.
