Marissa Diggs (born April 8, 1992 in Rowlett , Texas ) is a former American soccer player who was last under contract with Houston Dash in the 2014 season in the National Women's Soccer League .

Career

While studying at the University of Central Florida , Diggs played for the local university team of the UCF Knights from 2010 to 2013 . In January 2014, she was signed in the college draft of the NWSL in the second round in eleventh place of the Houston Dash franchise and made her debut there on April 27 against Portland Thorns FC . Diggs scored her first goal in the Dash jersey on July 17 against Washington Spirit . In late January 2015, Diggs announced her early retirement for professional reasons.
