Rowlett is a city in Rockwall County and Dallas County in the US state of Texas in the United States and is part of the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex.

The city is located in northeast Texas, about 30 km northeast of Dallas , 6 km east of Garland , in the west of Rockwall County, extends into Dallas County, borders in the east and south on Lake Ray Hubbard , in the west on Rowlett Creek and has a total area of ​​52.4 km², of which 0.1 km² is water.

The place was named after Dr. Daniel Rowlett, who came to this area in 1836 and settled here.
