Marius Nolte (born January 21, 1981 in Paderborn , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a former German basketball player .
The 2.06 m tall and 100 kg heavy center and power forward began playing basketball on TV Salzkotten. In 2001 he moved from regional division Salzkotten to the second division squad of cooperation partner Paderborn Baskets. In the following years he played his way into the top five of the team thanks to his willingness to work, and after 50 consecutive wins across seasons in the 2005/2006 season, he was promoted to the first division . There his playing times were reduced and he mostly came into play from the bank. In the 2008/2009 season he made the leap into the play-offs for the German championship with the club, where, however, they were already defeated in the quarter-finals in the playoff of the series to the main round first Alba Berlin .
To take another chance to play at a large club, Marius Nolte switched to Deutsche Bank Skyliners from Frankfurt am Main in June 2009 . There he signed a contract until the end of the 2009/2010 season, which he extended in June 2010 to the end of the 2011/2012 season.
Nolte injured his knee in preparation for the 2013/2014 season and had to take a break for several months.
After the 2013/2014 season, he ended his career as a professional basketball player. On April 24, 2014, it was officially announced that he would join the management team at Fraport Skyliners.
He is active there as sales and sponsorship manager.
