Mark John Bushell (born June 5, 1968 in Northampton ) is a retired English football player .

Career

Bushell played as Apprentice (dt trainee.) At Northampton Town , when he in April 1985 at the age of 16 years and 308 days under coach Tony Barton with a 4: 0 win over Stockport County his debut in the Football League Fourth Division were and thus becoming one of the youngest debutants in Northampton's club history. It was Bushell's only appearance in the Football League, in the following years the defender played at a number of clubs in and around Northamptonshire . Including Long Buckby, Northampton Spencer, VS Rugby and Raunds Town in the United Counties League and Corby Town and Rushden & Diamonds in the Southern League .

In the 1992/93 season he was part of the squad of the newly formed club Rushden & Diamonds, at which time Aidy Mann was also Northampton Town's youngest competitive debutant. Bushell was part of the first ever competitive game against Bilston Town and counted as a right full-back to an injury sustained in the second leg against Bilston in early January 1993 to the regular squad of Rushden & Diamonds. In 1993 he moved to Raunds Town.

Bushell earned his living as the owner of a fence construction company.
