Mark Anthony Davis (born November 25, 1964 in San Diego , California ) is a retired American baseball player in Major League Baseball (MLB) in the position of outfielders . In 1991 he only appeared three times for the California Angels .

His brother Mike also played in the MLB.

Career

Davis was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1982 and by the San Diego Padres in 1985 , but Davis did not sign both times. In 1987 he was redrafted by the Chicago White Sox . This time Davis signed and played on various White Sox farm teams from 1987 to 1990 . On August 4, 1989, the White Sox exchanged him for Mark Doran and Roberto Hernández to the California Angels. In 1990 and 1991 he played mostly with the Edmonton Trappers, a triple-A team of the Angels. During the 1991 season he also played in the Angels jersey in the MLB. Davis made his MLB debut against the Kansas City Royals on July 2 . Three days later, on July 5, he played his last game in the MLB against the Texas Rangers . The game lost the Angels 0 to 8. He then played until the end of 1994 for various teams in the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol .
