Mark McCammon

Mark McCammon (born August 7, 1978 in Barnet , UK ) is a Barbadian football player who is currently under contract in Football League Two with Gillingham FC .

career

Club career

McCammon began his professional career in the summer of 2000 at Brentford FC . After three years he moved to Millwall , with whom he lost 3-0 in the 2004 FA Cup final against Manchester United . He was substituted on in the 75th minute for Neil Harris . Despite the defeat in the final, the team qualified for the UEFA Cup , where he also played.

In 2005 he went to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Football League Championship . After a short trip to Bristol City in the second half of the 2005/06 season, he moved to the Doncaster Rovers in Football League One in the summer of 2006 . On New Year's Day 2007, he became the first player to score a goal in the club's freshly occupied Keepmoat Stadium , which scored 1-0 in a 3-0 win against Huddersfield Town .

Since 2008 he has been under contract with Gillingham FC and made promotion from Football League Two to Football League One in the 2008/09 season . In Gillingham he wears the number nine on his jersey. During the 2009/10 season he was loaned to Bradford City for a month , where he played four games in Football League Two.

National team

McCammon is an international for Barbados . Together with Paul Ifill , with whom he also played temporarily at Millwall FC , he currently forms the storm duo of the national team. In qualifying for the Caribbean Nations Cup 2007 he scored four goals and was therefore together with striker Ifill, who scored six goals, guarantor for the qualification.
