Paul Ifill (born October 20, 1979 in Brighton ) is a Barbadian football player .

Club career

When Ifill was retired from the youth division of Watford FC in 1995 , he returned to Brighton and played at Saltdean United , an amateur club where his father was also active.

In 1998 he was signed by Millwall FC . He injured himself shortly after signing the contract and coach Billy Bonds gave him a short period to prove himself after the recovery. Ifill managed to do this by scoring four goals in the next game.

Shortly afterwards, a back injury prevented him from walking fast. Several specialists could not identify the cause and the end of his career threatened. After three months, a doctor discovered that a bone was pressing on a nerve and Ifill was ready for use again the day after the treatment.

In the summer of 2005 he moved to Sheffield United for £ 800,000 after playing over 250 games for Milwall . In 2006 he was promoted to the Premier League with the club .

Ifill moved to Crystal Palace during the winter break of the 2006/07 season . In July 2009 he joined the New Zealand club Wellington Phoenix .

International career

Ifill made his debut in 2004 qualifying for the 2006 World Cup for Barbados against St. Kitts and Nevis .
