Mark Morales
Mark Anthony Morales (born February 19, 1960 in Brooklyn , New York ), also known by his stage name Prince Markie Dee , is an American rap musician and record producer .
Life
Morales was a member of the Fat Boys between 1983 and 1990 , who reached number twelve in the Billboard Pop Charts in 1987 with the title "Wipe Out" and in the same year took on the leading roles in the comedy film The Chaoten Team . The successor single "The Twist" was a number one hit in Germany . He left the band in 1989 to work as a solo artist, producer and composer. Since then he has produced for Destiny's Child , Mary J. Blige , Lisa Stansfield and Mariah Carey , for whom he also worked as a remixer. His own albums, under the name Prince Markie Dee , sold only moderately compared to his time as a member of the Fat Boys.
He works as a radio host in Miami and as managing director of the record label "King Music Group".
