Mark Ruskell

Mark Ruskell is a Scottish politician and a member of the Scottish Green Party .

For the first time Ruskell ran for the Scottish general election on the regional list of the Mid Scotland and Fife region in national elections. Due to the election result, however, Ruskell was not given a seat in the newly created Scottish Parliament . In the British general election in 2001 , he ran for the constituency of Stirling , but could not win this either. In the Scottish parliamentary elections in 2003 , Ruskell finally won a mandate from the electoral region of Mid Scotland and Fife and moved into parliament. He did not run for a single constituency. In the parliamentary elections in 2007 he was unable to defend his mandate. With his candidacy in the 2010 general election , Ruskell ran again for the Stirling constituency, but was only able to collect 1.6% of the valid votes.
