Mark Allen Slaughter (born July 4, 1964 in Las Vegas ) is an American singer , musician and producer . He is a founding member and namesake of the hard rock band Slaughter . Occasionally his voice is compared to that of Jack Russell, singer of the group Great White.

Career

Before founding his band of the same name in 1989, he was the singer of the group Vinnie Vincent Invasion . He was engaged in 1986 immediately after the release of the debut album named after the band for the group, whose original singer Robert Fleischman left after the album was recorded. He did two tours with the band, supporting Alice Cooper and Iron Maiden, respectively, before recording the second studio album All Systems Go with her . The record company and the band's management tried at this time to change the image of the band, which had previously been perceived as being dominated by Vinnie Vincent: it was decided to let Mark Slaughter conduct the interviews in the future, and a letter was sent to the press asked to print photos of the band or all individual members, and attempts were made to present the band as The Invasion in the future . After the release of the album, which was released on May 17, 1988, the group went on tour, but separated after their last concert, which took place on August 26, 1988 in Anaheim.

Slaughter formed a new band with the Vinnie Vincent Invasion bassist , Dana Strum, called Slaughter and signed by Chrysalis . The two musicians hired guitarist Timothy Kelly and drummer Blas Elias to complete the group and have since recorded five studio albums, an EP and two live albums. You get four top 30 hits in the US charts. The group also toured with Kiss , Poison , Ozzy Osbourne and the Damn Yankees .

Mark Slaughter is also the singer of numerous cover versions that have been released on so-called tribute albums. He sang Over the Mountain on the Bat Head Soup: A Tribute to Ozzy album , Rock & Roll on the Led Zeppelin Tribute album and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap on the AC / DC We Salute You album

In addition to his work as a singer, Mark Slaughter also works as a voice actor, he also composes music for television and films; his regular clients include the US television broadcaster Fox Sports .
