Mark Smith (sound engineer)
Mark Smith (born before 1989) is an American sound engineer .
Life
Mark Smith began his career in television, where he worked on, among other things, several episodes of the television series In the Heat of the Night . He also quickly worked on film projects; one of his first feature films was the comedies Die Glücksjäger and Schöne Bescherung . Between 1993 and 1996 he was at four John Grisham - literary adaptations involved: the company , the client , the jury and the chamber .
In 1993 he was awarded the Oscar for Best Sound for The Last of the Mohicans along with Chris Jenkins , Doug Hemphill and Simon Kaye . In 1993 he was nominated for the BAFTA Film Award in the Best Sound category for the film .
