Marki Bey

Marki Bey (born March 1, 1947 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania as Marqueeta Bey ) is an American actress .

Career

Bey had her first film role in 1970 in the comedy The House Owner. Until 1974 she acted in only five feature films. The tragedy Class of '74 (1972) and the blaxploitation horror film The Black Zombies by Sugar Hill (1974), in which she embodies the self-confident and beautiful title heroine Sugar Hill , are among her best-known film roles.

After her film career, she took part in popular television programs such as Charlie's Angels and Bronk . In the television program Starsky & Hutch , she had the recurring role of Minnie Kaplan from 1977 to 1979 . She had her last appearance in 1979 in Trapper John, MD , after which she retired into private life. Marki Bey has been married to actor Don Fenwick since 1974 .
