Marko Podraščanin ( Serbian : Марко Подрашчанин; born August 29, 1987 in Novi Sad , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian volleyball player .

Career

Podraščanin started his career in 2004 with OK Vojvodina Novi Sad. With the club he won the Serbian Cup in 2005 and 2006 and the national double in 2007. On June 16, 2006, he made his debut in the Serbian national team . At the European Championships in 2007 , the Serbs finished third with Podraščanin. In the same year, the middle blocker moved to the Italian league to Famigliulo Corigliano . In 2008 he reached the final of the world league with the national team . He took part in the Olympic tournament , which ended for Serbia in the quarter-finals. Subsequently, Podraščanin was committed by league rivals Lube Macerata . With the new club he won the Italian Cup in 2009. In addition, Serbia was again in the final of the world league . At the 2010 World Cup , the national team came third. In 2011 Podraščanin won the Challenge Cup with Macerata . In the same year he became European champion by beating Italy and received an individual award as the best blocker of the tournament. In 2012 Macerata was successful in the Italian championship.
