Markoye is a department and at the same time a municipality ( French commune rurale ) in the province of Oudalan in the Sahel region of the West African state of Burkina Faso .

Manganese and gold are mined in the department. The Mare de Markoye is an important water reservoir for humans and cattle. In Markoye there is a market once a week.
