history

The building, also called Kaysersches Haus , is opposite the town hall on the corner with Marienstraße. It was built using Gothic parts from the previous building after the city fire of 1517. After the fire of 1922, the stucco ceilings were renewed and the roof structure and the small houses rebuilt.

description

The three-storey corner house with a two-storey side wing on Marienstraße was built from quarry stone . The inner walls are designed in half-timbered construction. The round arches on the ground floor have Renaissance walls and the mid- houses have late-Gothic tracery . The side gate passage with arched portal is closed by a carved oak door from the end of the 17th century. The overgate is provided with an inscription.

Furnishing

The house has furnishings from the 16th to 19th centuries: late Gothic vestments , groin vaults , coffered doors, beam paintings, stucco ceilings and much more.
