The Marktkarree Langenfeld (MKL) was Langenfeld's third and largest covered shopping center when it opened in November 2008 . It is located in the city center opposite the Sass am Markt, which opened in April 2011, and is adjacent to the Langenfeld market hall and the city gallery. The foundation stone for the building was laid in November 2007. The market square was opened on November 6, 2008.
