Markus Bayertz (born January 29, 1971 in Willich ) is a former German football player and current official .

Career

Since 1986 Bayertz played in the youth team of Bayer 05 Uerdingen , with whose B-youth he won the German championship as captain in 1987 . In 1990/91 he moved to the first team and had his Bundesliga debut against Karlsruher SC on matchday 23 (1-1). At the end of the season, Uerdingen was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga . In the following season 1991/92, in which Uerdingen succeeded in direct recovery, he had seven missions. After his engagement in Uerdingen Bayertz played for several lower class teams. With Rot-Weiß Oberhausen he was 1995 champion of the Oberliga Nordrhein . Most recently he played for six years for Wuppertal SV Borussia , with whom he was promoted to the third-class Regionalliga Nord in 2003 as a league champion . There he finished fourth with the WSV in his first season and only narrowly failed to make it through to the 2nd Bundesliga, three points behind Dynamo Dresden . By the end of his career at the end of 2006, he played 101 regional league games for Wuppertal and scored 14 goals. From 2007 to 2011 he was manager of Wuppertaler SV.
