Markus Eham

Markus Eham (born March 4, 1958 in Feldkirchen-Westerham ) is a German Roman Catholic liturgical scholar , church musician and composer . He holds the professorship for liturgy, music and voice training at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt . He is also Vice President for Studies and Teaching at this university.

Life

Markus Eham studied Catholic theology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , where he received his doctorate in 1986 under Josef Finkenzeller . Then he worked until 1989 at the German Liturgical Institute Trier as a speaker for church music. From March 1991 he was a lecturer in liturgy at the Faculty of Religious Education and Church Educational Work at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Since 1993 he has been Professor of Liturgy, Music and Voice Training at the Faculty of Religious Education and Church Education.

In March 1993, Eham worked at the Office of church music in the Ordinariate of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising .
