Markus Hoelgaard (born October 4, 1994 in Stavanger ) is a Norwegian cyclist .

Career

Hoelgaard drove for the Czech team Etixx-iHNed from 2013 . For the 2015 season he switched to the Coop-Øster Hus team and in August 2015 was 13th in the Arctic Race of Norway . In the following year Hoelgaard drove for the Joker team ; with this team he won the team time trial of the ZLM Tour . In 2017 he won a stage each of the Circuit des Ardennes and the Tour Alsace . In 2018 he won the junior ranking of the Arctic Race of Norway and finished second in the overall ranking. In March 2019, he finished second in the Rhodes Tour .

Hoelgaard is a brother of the cross-country skier Stian Hoelgaard and the racing cyclist Daniel Hoelgaard .
