Markus Huber (biologist)

Markus Huber (born October 14, 1943 in Schaffhausen ; † September 28, 2014 there ) was a Swiss biologist, teacher, curator and conservationist.

Live and act

Markus Huber was the head of the natural history department of the Museum zu Allerheiligen , Schaffhausen, where he was in charge of the ornithological collection at the Museum Stemmler. In various honorary posts he represented nature conservation issues, for example on the board of the Schaffhausen Natural Research Society , the Pro Natura Schaffhausen Association and the Randen Cultural Landscape Working Group . Huber was a co-founder of the Turdus (bird and nature conservation association Schaffhausen), honorary member of the Schaffhausen Museum Association and president of the Association for the History of Lake Constance and its Surroundings .
