Markus Lutteman (born February 24, 1973 in Arboga ) is a Swedish writer and journalist .

Life

Lutteman grew up in Arboga. He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with a minor in philosophy and attended a literature course at Liverpool University in 1996 . He later worked for several daily newspapers, including Svenska Dagbladet , Aftonbladet and Nerikes Allehanda .

Lutteman made his debut in 2007 with the documentary novel El Choco , which sold over 200,000 copies in Sweden. It tells the spectacular story of the Swede Jonas Andersson, who was incarcerated in the infamous Bolivian San Pedro prison. After the second novel Utsatt about adopted children, the bestseller Det du inte såg (German: What you didn't see) was published in 2011 . The biography of the high jumper and world record holder Patrik Sjöberg , which Lutteman co-wrote, reveals that Sjöberg was sexually abused as a boy by his trainer Viljo Nousiainen . The biography Per Holknekt 1960-2014 was created together with Per Holknekt , the Swedish fashion designer, entrepreneur, millionaire and skateboarder . In 2014, Lutteman and Mons Kallentoft started a crime novel series , the so-called Hercules series, about Stockholm's criminal underworld. The first novel, The Track of the Wolf , whose rights were sold in twelve countries, was very successful in Sweden. In 2016, the thriller Blodmåne (German: Blutmond) about illegal wildlife trade was released . Part of the research was Lutteman's stay in the South African bush .

Lutteman lives in Örebro and has three children.
